A VerY Happy Raya To ALL...^_^

Selamat Hari Raya to my dear students..Safe journey back home and don't forget to bring your "kuih raya" back k..hihihi...n maaf zahir batin too...have fun but don't forget about your assignments and oral test k..btw, since i've postphoned your oral test (interview for A3005), i would expect you to be extra prepared...be extra careful on the road and most importantly, don't forget to ask for forgiveness from your loved ones..:)..hihih..take care..

ASSIGNMENT FOR A3003 STUDENTS

2 assignments to be submitted. The first assignment is to create a blog and write two journal entries.

2nd Assignment
Describe any house of worship that you know. Write about the uniqueness of the monument, e.g. the architecture and the history behind it. Browse the net to get more information. Pictures of the monument should be included too. This is an individual assignment. The submission date is a week after Raya. Mark will be deducted upon late submission.

By the way, you yourself must be in the picture too..That is as a proof that you have done you homework.

Each assignment carries 10% of the overall marks, so
2 assignments X 10 % = 20%

To all the participants, the contest is today, 20 August 2010, at 2.30 pm, at U1-33.. Please be punctual..I'm sorry that i won't be able to witness your performance as i need to attend a course, but i'll pray for your success. Best of Luck To ALL..:)

ASSIGNMENT 2

You need to interview a foreigner and take a picture together with him/ her as a prove.This is a group work, so you can have at least 2 persons (minimum) or 3 persons (maximum) per group.

Here is the list of questions to be asked:
1. Where do you come from?
2. How long have you been in Malaysia?
3. Have you tasted the Malaysian food? Which food do you like the most?
4. Do you plan to come again next time? If yes, which part of Malaysia would you like to go?
5. What is the best thing that you like about Malaysia?

The submission date is one week after Raya. Marks will be deducted for late submission. TQ

To A3005 STUDENTS.

You are to submit your resume to me by latest next week..please post the soft copy in your blog. I also need the hard copy (the printed version) for the sake of documentation..For your interview,another lecturer is going to interview you..NOT ME!so..be prepared as she won't be easy on you..:) the date for your interview has not yet being decided, but i'll keep you updated..Good LucK..:)

ELOCUTION CONTEST

Round 1 (Preliminary Round)
Date: 20 August 2010 (Friday)
Time: 2.30pm-4.20pm
Venue: U1-33

Round 2 (Final Round)
Date: 1 October 2010
Time: 9.00am-12.15pm
Venue: Main Hall, Campus 1

  1. Participants will be required to speak (NOT READ) for at least 5-7 minutes on any appropriate topic.
  2. Participants must prepare the script (so that i can check on your grammar). You can't bring your script on stage though!
  3. I will train the participant on how to speak..(so, dun be nervous k!)
  4. Those who have class with me on the 1st October, 1015am-12.15pm (Final Round), you need to come to the hall at 9.00am sharp.
  5. Attractive prizes and certificates of participation await the winners and participants of the Final Round.
  6. Your cooperation and contribution in making this event a success is very much appreciated.

To All Classes, you are required to AT LEAST send one representative from your respective class to me by next week. If i don't get any name by next week, i'll randomly choose...so, you better discuss and give me names...>.<
